Who is Mrs. Slay?

​

She was born in Coral Springs, Florida and raised in a small town not to far away from here.  Currently residing in Carmi, IL  with her husband Matt and 4 year old son Maverick.  This place is also home to two dogs, two cats, one miniature horse, and a miniature donkey.

Mrs. Slay went to Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC to play soccer and earn a degree in sports management.  After that she made the decision to become a teacher and went back to school in Nashville, TN.  In the fall of 2015 she graduated with a Masters Degree in Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University.

In her spare time she enjoys playing with Matt and Maverick on their life size pirate ship and tending to all the animals.  As a life long soccer fan she runs a Pre-K soccer program in Carmi.

 

Some of her favorite things include the color purple, snacking on Milky Way candy bars, eating pizza, watching Grey's Anatomy, singing in the car to just about any song, and drinking Starbucks coffee.
